Orlando Brown has had his fair share of hard times, but it looks like he’s on the up and up.
Earlier this year, we posted a video of the former Disney star at church, looking healthy and sharing his story about overcoming adversity. A few months later, he is still on the right track.
In a recent video posted to Instagram, Orlando is all smiles with his wife Danielle and baby boy. After a few moments of laughter, he begins to read the Bible. He said, “I wanna encourage y’all to read the word with y’all family. As he continued to read Psalm 77, he appeared to be in good spirits.
Recent Instagram posts reveal Orlando and his now wife were married back in October. A photo of the two was posted and the caption read, “Husband and wife! They said I will always be just a baby mama, but God said I AM A WIFE.”
It’s unclear how long they’ve actually been together or how old his son is, but the baby appears to be only a few months old.
According to Chron, it was also reported that Brown is a recent graduate of Rise Discipleship, a free six-month in-patient recovery program located in Abilene, TX. In an interview, he stated, “I can tell you that I’m OK. I’m alive,” The Christian post reports. He continued, “I was in an unsafe position and it has been shaky. But, at the end of the day, all I can tell you is I’m OK and I’m graduating.”
This is a complete 180 from this past January. If you remember, Orlando made shocking claims, alleging he had a sexual relationship with Nick Cannon. The former Wild ‘N Out comedian simply asked people to pray for Orlando’s mental health, when responding to the claim.
In part Nick wrote, “When I first saw this I thought it was f–king hilarious!!!! But then after putting a little cognitive effort and analytical thought to the situation, I figured what a great opportunity for a ‘teachable moment’! First off let me say I am praying for the young brother Orlando even though I don’t really know him personally, I have always loved and enjoyed his talent and have been a fan of his past work. He was f–king brilliant in “Major Payne,” and had us all laughing on “That’s So Raven.” But this is another crucial example of when we allow our young artists to be prematurely exposed by this demonic business and left out to fend for themselves. We need better support systems for our youth and take care of our own. I watched various of this young brothers videos and all I see is a cry out for help. So I don’t know if there are any real leaders or solid individuals in this young man’s life but let’s embrace him and tighten him up so he doesn’t become another lost victim to these Hollywood circumstances.”
