TSR Foodies: Y’all have a special place in your heart for chicken, which was obvious once Popeyes added its spicy chicken sandwich to the menu! The frenzy not only caused the sandwiches to be sold out, but it also started a war between two chicken giants.
Just two months back, Popeyes and Chick-fil-A went head to head while black Twitter decided whose chicken sandwich took the crown. The battle of ended shortly after long lines caused the Popeyes chicken sandwich to be sold out.
Now, it looks like Popeyes is bringing it back! Some of y’all are obsessed and some haven’t even tried it yet. So, are y’all standing in line to get a taste, Roomies?
As we previously reported, this sandwich had some y’all doing the absolute most. After Popeyes announced the chicken sandwich was sold out, things took a turn for the worst. One man even decided to sue the company.
Craig Barr of East Ridge Tennessee decided to file an official lawsuit against Popeyes after he couldn’t get his chicken sandwich fix! In a court summons, Barr states that he was suing Popeyes for “false advertising, deceptive business practices by entity to public.” He says he wasted time driving to and from Popeyes on multiple occasions and was not able to get his sandwich.
Another group of fools decided if they couldn’t get their chicken sandwiches, employees couldn’t go home! This group pulled up to a drive-thru in Houston and decided to pull a gun on employees after being informed of the sold-out sandwiches.
Popeyes had not given many details regarding a when or where the sandwiches will become available again, but we’re sure their hope is the hype will be just as crazy as the release.
