TSR Updatez: Carl Crawford Sued For $1M Over Fatal Pool Drownings

TSR Updatez: Roomies, Carl Crawford is reportedly facing a $1 million lawsuit, after the fatal drownings of a five-year-old and one adult, which occurred last month, at his home.

According to @allhiphopmag, Liban Hersi and Jazmine Hernandez—the mother and father of the five-year-old—are suing the former baseball player for at least $1 million, in an attempt to hold him responsible for the fatal drownings.

The parents feel that Crawford failed to provide reasonable care, supervision, a safe environment, and he should be held accountable under the Wrongful Death Act and the Survival Statute.

As we previously reported, sources connected to Carl reportedly told the site that he was having a small gathering at his home in Houston of about six people, including the woman and young boy. At one point Carl was inside the home when the young boy reportedly fell into his pool. The woman went in after him, but unfortunately, both suffocated., per TMZ. The source reportedly added that Carl quickly ran to help by trying to revive them, but it was unsuccessful. According to KHOU11, an emergency crew performed CPR at the scene, and police say that the woman and child passed away at the hospital.

Carl released a statement, after the tragic accident.

““This weekend, a terrible accident occurred at my residence resulting in the tragic loss of two precious lives. It’s devastating I’m in complete shock and don’t really know how to move forward in this moment because my heart aches so deeply for the families,” Carl Crawford said.”
