The U.S. Attorney has made an arrest in one of the fires that destroyed the third police precinct, in Minneapolis, on May 28, following riots that occurred after George Floyd was killed, while in police custody.

According to KSTP, officers have arrested Brandon Michael Wolfe. “Monday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced it charged 23-year-old Branden Michael Wolfe with aiding and abetting arson.”

A criminal complaint states that officers were called on June 3 to the Menards in St. Paul. They received word that someone with police equipment tried to get into the store. That person was later identified as Brandon Wolfe.

It also states that he was also a security guard at the store, but lost his job after posting messages that alluded to stealing items from the precinct.

Wolfe was wearing body armor, when he was arrested. He had handcuffs, a police duty belt with handcuffs, an earphone piece, a baton and knife.

Once his home was searched, officers  located a riot helmet, a 9mm pistol magazine, a police radio and an overdose kit, according to KTSP.

“Wolfe later admitted to being in the precinct. He told officers while in the third precinct, he pushed a wooden barrel into a fire, knowing it would help the fire continue to burn,” according to reports.

When George Floyd died, protests happened all over the world–all 50 states and reportedly 18 countries. Many of the protests were believed to have been “hijacked”  by extremists, according to the U.S. Attorney, William Barr.

He stated,

“Groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate and violent agenda,” he said. “In many places, it appears the violence is planned, organized and driven by anarchic and…far left extremist groups using Antifa-like tactics.”

As previously reported, Derek Chauvin has been arrested and charged for the death of George Floyd. The other 3 officers have been charged with aiding and abetting murder in the second-degree.

As you know, George Floyd died, during an arrest, on Monday, May 25. A 17-year-old filmed the incident and posted the video, in which it went viral.
