TSR Updatez: Texas Woman Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison For Sending Bombs To Barack Obama’s Home

One year after the United States Secret Service intercepted a suspicious package addressed to Barack Obama, a judge has ruled to put a Texas woman behind bars!

According to Fox news, 47-year-old Julia Poff has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for sending explosives to the home of our forever president! Poff plead guilty to the charges back in July, and begged District Judge Vaness Gilmore to have mercy on her, saying she’s done so much good for the community since sending the package.

During her court appearance, Poff said she and her family have helped dozens of people over the years, and began to cite Bible verses she claims she lives by.

“My problem is that I have a huge heart and I’m too trusting of people.” she told the judge. “All I can say is I’m sorry. I’m sorry to the people I’ve hurt.”

As we previously reported, prosecutors said Poff mailed a package addressed to Barack Obama, which contained a homemade explosive device. The package was interrupted at a White House handling facility in Washington D.C.

The prosecutors report said the handling facility was evacuated at the time and an FBI explosives expert confirmed it was indeed a bomb.

Investigators were reportedly able to link the box to Julia Poff and her husband using a cat hair that was found taped under the box’s address label. Tests found the hair matched samples taken from Poff’s cat, according to prosecutors.

The box also included an old cell phone, which Poff’s daughter identified as her old device. Authorities also found a transaction on Poff’s debit card for a micro-USB with the same barcode as the one found in the package.

Although the package never made its way to the Barack Obama home, the judge has determined Poff is a danger and needs to spend her time behind bars.

“The court finds the defendant’s actions were calculated, pervasive and continuous over an extended period of time. She knew what she was doing.”
