TSR Exclusive Details: Timbaland Speaks On “VERZUZ TV” Trademark–“Me And Swizz Had This Idea For Quite Some Time…Taking It To The Next Level”

Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have both saved “Quarantine Season” with the Verzuz Instagram Live battles. Initially starting with the pair themselves, it quickly became a favorite on Al Gore’s innanet, Verzuz TV has became a quarantine fave.. 

Recently, a trademark was filed for VERZUZ TV and, Roomies, y’all know we had to get the tea. So, Timbaland stepped into The Shade Room and gave us what we needed to know.

“Me and Swizz had this idea for quite some time. And last night [Teddy Riley VS Babyface battle] showed how powerful we are,” the legendary producer stated. “So, VERZUZ TV has to be now. Taking it to the next level.”

“Yes! This year,” was the 48-year-old’s response, when asked when we can expect the movement to come across our television screens.

As far as the premise for the show, it’s still in the works. “Right now we’re still strategizing,” Timbaland stated.

At the moment, the show doesn’t have a home, as they are still weighing all options. 

“Right now, we are weighing all of our options. Making smart moves.”

All battles have been between men, and the digital streets are now requesting for women to be showcased. Timbaland told us that is in the works.

“We [are] working on the ladies. That takes some time,” he says. “Me and Swizz really work to put these celebrations together,” the Virginia native stated. “And females have to be right. Being that we are in quarantine.”

We asked the legendary producer if we will ever see a Dr. Dre battle? “Only time will tell,” was his response.

As far as who is on his wishlist, “I want to see my musical idol, Dr. Dre. He [is] who I look up to.

When it comes to who is involved with the show, Timbaland makes it clear that “Verzuzis only me and Swizz.”
