#TSRPositiveImages: The choir of an Alabama historically black university traveled all the way to #SanFrancisco to sing but on their way to the concert, their bus was part of a fiery crash that left one of the other motorists involved deceased.
While none of the students and staff on the bus were seriously injured, their belongings were destroyed when their tour bus caught fire. The students are part of #OakwoodUniversity’s Aeolians Choir and were on their way to perform a free concert at Third Baptist Church in San Francisco on Sunday, @whntnews19 reports.
Once #OldNavy learned about the wreck, they reached out to the choir to give them some help. Their store in downtown San Francisco provided the students with new clothes to wear during their performance and in return, the students showed their appreciation by doing what they do best–sing.
Kenn Dixon, Director of Public Relations at Oakwood University, said their hearts and prayers are with the driver who died in the crash.
Oakwood University tweeted a video of them singing in Old Navy to show their appreciation. The tweet said: “After the accident caused some of the Aeolians to lose their belongings, @OldNavy reached out and aided our students in providing clothing for their trip in San Francisco! We’re so thankful and grateful to the wonderful people at @OldNavy for their generosity!”
That was truly a kind thing for Old Navy to do!
