A dog named after the ‘The Rock’ got some great news this Thanksgiving from the The Rock himself!!
At only 4 months, the dog was abandoned and found with wire wrapped around his mouth. An LA shelter was gracious enough to take him in but was later hit with some more devastating news. The dog has now become diagnosed with a grade 6 heart murmur, a condition that requires a $4,500 surgery!
So just like anyone else would do in this day and age, the animal shelter started a GoFundMe to raise awareness and money for the dog. The REAL Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson got wind of what was going on after his Fast & Furious 7 co-star tweeted the GoFundMe link.
After reading the dog’s tragic story, The Rock decided to lend a helping hand. The Rock has donated $1,500 towards the puppy’s surgery! How sweet!
The shelter spoke out Wednesday on their website about The Rock helping and said, “Knowing that ‘The Rock’ has got Dwayne the puppy’s back we are confident he will be a fighter and make it through this. Thank you all for generous donations – thanks to you have met our goal.”
