#TSRUpdatez: A $100 Million Lawsuit Has Been Filed In Fatal Missouri Duck Boat Crash That Claimed The Lives Of 17 People

#Roommates, let’s continue to keep the victims of the #Missouri duck boat crash in our prayers. A new lawsuit alleges the owners and operators of the tourist boat that sank earlier this month put profits over the safety of the riders when they decided to put the #RidetheDucks boat on a lake despite design problems and warnings of severe weather, ABC News reports.

The lawsuit is seeking $100 million in damages on behalf of two of the nine members of Tia Coleman’s family who lost their lives when the boat sank July 19th at #TableRockLake near #Branson. Her tragic story of losing her husband, three children and other family members touched many, especially after she revealed the captain told them they did not need life jackets.

A second family affected by the tragedy is also filing a lawsuit seeking more than $125,000 in damages. In addition to the lawsuits, Missouri Attorney General #JoshHawley’s office says it has opened a criminal investigation.

We’ll keep you updated on the latest, #Roomies.
