#TSRUpdatez: Let’s keep Chicago in our prayers, #Roommates. Police are reporting that another one of the four missing young women from Chicago’s West Side we reported about yesterday has been found dead.
According to CBS Chicago, the body of 26-year-old Shantieya Smith was found under a car in a garage in the North Lawndale neighborhood. Her mother says she last saw her about two weeks ago getting into a man’s car, though no arrests have been reported.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has confirmed it’s Smith’s body but they did not release the results of her autopsy.
One of the other missing, 15-year-old Sadaria Davis, was found dead last month inside of a vacant building. Police are still looking for 15-year-old Victoria Garrett and 18-year-old Anna Stanislawczyk.
Community members say they believe the victims’ cases are linked and are demanding police release more information about their investigations.
