#TSRUpdatez: Kodak Black Pleads Guilty To Federal Weapons Charges, Faces Up To 8 Years In Prison

After multiple run-ins with the law this year, Miami rapper Kodak Black is now facing some very serious prison time after entering a recent guilty plea to federal weapons charges.

As reported by the Associated Press (@apnews,) Kodak Black officially pleaded guilty to the federal weapons charges against him in Miami Federal Court just months after his initial not guilty plea.

Back in May, Kodak, 22, was charged by prosecutors for a slew of crimes including falsifying information on federal forms to purchase three firearms. The charges stem from prosecutors saying they believe that a weapon purchased by Kodak was found at the scene of a South Florida shooting.

Local authorities report that Kodak is facing up to eight years in prison. A federal judge in the case has also denied his request for bond because he believes he’s a danger to the community due to his lengthy criminal record. Currently, there is no official word on when he will be sentenced since he has pled guilty to his charges.

As you’ll recall Kodak Black has been locked up in a federal detention center in Miami since his arrest a few months ago.
