#TSRUpdatez: Maryland Shooter Identified As Man Who Tried To Sue The Newspaper Back In 2012 And Lost

The 38-year-old man responsible for the shooting at the Capital Gazette offices in Maryland yesterday had a long-running beef with the newspaper.

According to reports, the suspect was identified as Jarrod Warren Ramos. He tried to sue the paper for defamation back in 2012 but he lost the case. It appeared that was upset with the paper for running a story about him after he pled guilty to criminal harassment the previous year.

Reuters reports that Ramos claimed his perspective wasn’t fairly represented in court documents. The case was dismissed in 2013, but apparently he was still mad about it.

As we previously reported, five people sadly lost their lives in yesterday’s shooting. He reportedly used a pump-action shotgun that purchased legally and barricaded the exit doors in the pre-planned attack. He is currently being held without bail.
