#TSRUpdatez: While #RemyMa maintains her innocence in the alleged assault case involving her former “Love and Hip Hop” cast mate #BrittneyTaylor, prosecutors brought forth some new claims to charge her in the April incident.
Today in court, prosecutors filed four charges against Remy, including two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree, @tmz_tv reports. All of the charges are misdemeanors.
The issue is Remy and her lawyers claim that they have video evidence of her at her home at the time in which the attack initially was reported to have went down at #NewYorkCity’s #IrvingPlaza (around 9:30 p.m.). Remy actually did attend a benefit concert there, but her team claims it was after the time prosecutors claimed the attack happened.
Remy’s attorney Dawn Florio says that prosecutors now have updated the time of the attack to 10:30 p.m., which is when prosecutors reportedly have video of Remy arriving at the venue, but the video does not show the alleged attack.
Remy was initially booked for misdemeanor assault after turning herself in and now prosecutors have made the multiple charges official.
The timing of the attack will be an important factor since Remy claims she has proof that she was nowhere near the venue or Brittney at the time she was accused of punching her.
Though she’s facing 4 charges, Remy has reportedly been offered a deal to plead guilty to just the top charge — assault in the third degree — and the rest will supposedly be dropped.
The plea deal would also require that she have to enter a long-term anger management program.
So far, it sounds like Remy hasn’t taken the deal. If she goes to trial for this alleged assault, it will be in July.
