Prayers Up: Let’s keep the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in our prayers, Roommates. Authorities are now confirming that two people were fatally shot on the campus, following reports of an active shooter, @CNN reports.

Two other people are being treated for life-threatening injuries, according to Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Service Agency. Two more people have non-life threatening injuries, the agency said.

The suspected shooter is in custody, according to a city official. Authorities added that there was no reason to believe that anyone else was involved.

Waka Flocka, Saweetie and Next Town Down were scheduled to perform at the campus’ Jerry Richardson Stadium tonight for a free end-of-semester concert. The show was obviously cancelled and the campus remained on lockdown as of Tuesday night.

Law enforcement officers were sweeping the affected buildings, university officials said in a tweet.

“Follow officer commands,” the school said.

Video posted to Twitter by a student showed people fleeing a campus library as police sprinted toward the building.

The university, which has 30,000 students, tweeted: “Campus lockdown continues. Remain in a safe location. Monitor email and UNCC homepage.

Tuesday was reportedly the last day of classes, with exams to begin on Thursday.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are assisting university police in the shooting.

Waka took to his Instagram story on Tuesday night to send his condolences to the UNCC community.

“I pray all my fans are safe and ok! It sure what’s going on, I just landed in Charlotte to terry news! I will not be able to perform or even make it to the venue..please to all my supporters and followers be safe!”

Roommates, we ask that you continue to keep the UNCC community in your prayers as they recover from this tragedy. We will keep you posted on any updates in this situation.
