Tupac And Biggie Smalls True Crime Pilot ‘Unsolved’ Picked Up By USA Network

Another true crime series may soon make its way to our televisions. This time we’ll get to see the police investigations behind the murders of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls on the USA Network.

According to Variety, USA picked up the pilot for a new series titled “Unsolved,” and this will be the latest crime series to make its way to television. For USA this is the fourth pilot to be greenlit for the networks new lineup.

Tupac was shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas back in 1996 and died a few days later. Biggie was also shot and killed by an unknown gunman in 1997 while out in Los Angeles.

The show will be based off of the book “Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations,” which was written by former LAPD Detective, Greg Kading.

Anthony Hemingway will serve as director. He was behind FX’s hit series “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.” Kyle Long will pen the script and also serve as an executive producer alongside Hemingway.

After two decades, the deaths of the two hip-hop pioneers have yet to be resolved, nonetheless they continue to remain a topic of interest.

Roommates will you be tuned in?
