Tupac Shakur Will Be Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Earlier this year Tupac Shakur was named as a nominee for the 2017 class of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, along with many other legendary artists.

On Tuesday it was announced by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that the late rapper would be one of the five inductees for 2017.

According to Rolling Stone, this was the first time Tupac was eligible to be nominated as this year marked 25 years since the release of his debut album.

Back in 1991 he released his debut album “2Pacalypse Now,” and would go on to release other classic albums such as “Me Against The World,” and “All Eyez On Me” before his death in 1996.

Other 2017 inductees include, Pearl Jam, Journey, Yes, Electric Light Orchestra and Joan Baez.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on April 7th at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and will air at a later date on HBO, along with a radio broadcast for Sirius XM.

Congrats to all of the 2017 inductees.
