Taylor Swift sent social media into a frenzy when she released a cover of Earth, Wind & Fire’s 1977 love jam “September” on Spotify.
According to the Washington Post, her version took away the “original’s funk-laden sensibility and presented the tune as a slow-burning countrypolitan song.”
Covering any song is a big risk and it’s clear social media wasn’t feelin’ it.
