A Delta Air Lines plane and a Japan Airlines plane reportedly collided while on the tarmac at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

More Details On The Two Planes Colliding At Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
According to Fox News, on Wednesday, February 5, the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport announced via X, formerly known as Twitter, that authorities responded to an incident at the location around 10:15 a.m. Furthermore, it was shared that a Japan Airlines plane appeared to have “struck” the tail of a parked Delta Airlines plane.
At the time, the airport asserted that no injuries were intially reported. Additionally, the notice shared that passengers were being deplaned from both aircrafts for alternative travel means.
The incident involved a taxing Japan Airlines aircraft that appears to have struck the tail of a parked Delta Air Lines aircraft. There are no injuries reported at this time. SEA is working with both airlines to safely deplane passengers and bring them to the terminal. (2/3)

Around 4:30 p.m., the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport shared that all passengers on both crafts had successfully been deboarded.
All passengers from morning incident involving Japan Airlines flight 68 & Delta Air Lines flight 1921 have been deplaned w/ no reported injuries. Airlines are working to accommodate passengers as needed. Airport response crews will be moving the aircraft off of the ramp taxiway.

Delta Air Lines & Japan Airlines Reportedly Speak Out As Witnesses Share Details & Videos
According to TMZ, a Delta spokesperson exclusively confirmed the details of the incident with the outlet. The spokesperson reportedly shared that the Delta aircraft was carrying 142 passengers at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, one of those passengers shared footage of the aftermath of the collision on X.

Per Fox 13 Seattle, Japan Airlines issued a statement in response to the incident on Wednesday.
“On February 5, 2025, while taxiing upon arrival at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (from Narita International Airport), the right wing of the flight JL68 aircraft came into contact with the tail of another aircraft. There were no injuries reported to the customers or the crew onboard, and we sincerely apologize to all involved for any inconvenience. The detailed cause and circumstances are currently under investigation,” the statement reads.
The Incident At Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Follows Other Concerning Aviation Incidents
The incident at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has followed a string of recent concerning events in aviation. As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, a military jet fatally collided with an American Airlines plane. At the time, the plane was carrying a total of 67 passengers.
Then, a few days later, a Learjet carrying a total of six passengers fatally crashed into the streets of Northeast Philadelphia, per The Shade Room. As both incidents shook the public and currently remain under investigation, reports then surfaced of a United Airlines plane catching fire at Houston Airport.
