Two Women & Toddler Shot In Times Square In New York City—Suspect Currently Still At Large

Roommates, sadly there has been another shooting today and this time it happened in New York City’s Times Square where a gunman opened fire, wounding two women and a toddler. The suspect in the Times Square shooting is reportedly still at large—this is the second shooting that occurred today, following an earlier shooting incident at Miami’s Aventura Mall.

According to the New York Police Department (NYPD) a 4-year-old girl out shopping in Times Square with her family, was shot in Times Square along with two other bystanders who were women. The shooting reportedly occurred at West 45th Street and 7th Avenue—in the middle of the popular tourism area in New York City.

NYPD stated that the three victims were accidentally shot following a dispute nearby between four men exploded in gunfire. Response to the shooting was quick due to an officer who was in the area and heard the five shots. It is believed that of the four men, only one actually opened fire striking the toddler and the two women.

New York Police Commissioner, Dermot Shea, confirmed that currently no suspects have been arrested for the Times Square shooting, but authorities are currently seeking out a person of interest to bring in for questioning.  Shea also said that the 4-year-old is “very brave girl that is buying toys when she is shot.”

This shooting is the second one in a matter of hours, as five people were injured earlier in the day during a shooting in Miami, Florida at Aventura Mall—and earlier this week, a sixth-grader opened fire at an Idaho middle school.
