“You’re a star!” I remember hearing on one of our fave Disney Movies, Life-Size! Tyra Banks starred as a fabulous doll named Eve who comes to life after Lindsay Lohan does some early 2000’s white girl voodoo. She was trying to resurrect her mother, but…y’all know the story. Anyway, Tyra joked with Variety, “There is no one else that can play Eve but me, thank you very much!” But, all jokes aside, she’s reprising her role as the bombshell Barbie-like doll in a 2016 sequel!
The final episode of America’s next Top Model aired yesterday, but as one door closes another one opens! Tyra will also be executive producing the film as well. So does this mean Lindsay Lohan will be returning as Casey? “We have not talked about casting at all so I have no idea who is going to be the young person that will be the owner of Eve. We haven’t gotten to that,” the model and businesswoman responded. As of right now, there are no reports of Lindsay jumping on board. If she did, then that could be a good look for her! We are all rooting for you, Lindsay!
Variety says that they were the first to report on the sequel and Banks’ casting, but sources say that Disney had been re-working the script until they felt it was just right. It’s looking like the premiere will air sometime in late 2016. “We’re looking at it as a holiday movie so hopefully holiday 2016. One thing is it’s a very precious project to the Disney Channel so they’ve been doing a lot of re-writes and making sure that this script is really right. I’m really excited about it. I think ‘Life-Size’ is so popular that it can be a feature film because it has such a cult following, so I’m really interested to see what the ratings are going to do for that. I think it’s going to be a blockbuster on TV.”
Girl, don’t you know I will have snacks on deck when this movie comes out?! I will not move from the tv. Tyra Banks has always been a positive role model in young women’s lives and I think this movie is so needed! Besides, everyone loves some nostalgia and considering that Tyra is still just as gorgeous as she was in the 2000 original, I can’t wait to see what she’ll be wearing!
