As many of you know, last week, Tyrese and his wife Samantha Gibson announced that they would be divorcing after three years of marriage. However, it looks like papers were filed a few months before their official announcement.
According to TMZ, Samantha filed for divorce back in September, and in the petition, she alleges that a few weeks prior, Tyrese had cut her off financially and locked her and their 2-year-old daughter out of their Georgia home.
However, in the documents filed by Tyrese, he denies those claims. However, he reportedly admitted to having an issue with Samantha requesting $20k a month in child support, calling it “unreasonably high.”
When it comes to the reason for their split, Tyrese recalled returning home from a movie set in August and being confronted by Samantha, which led to a tense conversation, where she allegedly threatened to call authorities.
Tyrese continued to recall that he left their home in an Uber because he didn’t want to have an encounter with police due to the “multiple public incidents involving police brutality and racially motivated killings of unarmed African American people.”
As we previously reported, both Samantha and Tyrese released a statement concerning their divorce, and Tyrese later stepped into The Shade Room comment section and said, “Black families and marriages are under attack. I’ve wrestled with this question. How can we naturally know how to BE something never raised by? Most of us were raised in broken homes with NO examples of what being a husband, wife or FATHER is…”
