Late last year Tyrese and his wife Samantha Lee announced that after four years of marriage they have decided to get a divorce. Tyrese has made it clear that their decision to part ways has not been easy for him, however, Samantha’s latest YouTube video has some people thinking that she feels the complete opposite.
Recently Samantha has started a new series on her YouTube channel that she calls “I Was Her.”
She took to her Instagram to share the response to a question she received during her latest episode, and it’s definitely a topic she has experienced in real life.

The question she answered in the video was, “Would you recommend dating someone famous?” In the video, Samantha answered and said, “No.”
She further explained and said, “I think a lot of women want a certain type of notoriety with a certain guy. That’s not where your worth comes from, that’s not where your validation comes from. Your validation comes from God, and God alone. It doesn’t matter who you’re with. I think a lot of women make a lot of athletes and entertainers and wanting to be these certain kinds of guys and we got into the high-value men thing.”
She continued to say, “I’m not saying these guys are bad, but you also have to understand these guys are self-made men. There’s a lot of women that want these men, so at the end of the day, these men are accustomed to getting their way.”
As previously reported, Samantha and Tyrese announced their divorce last December and said, “After much thought, consideration, and prayer, We, unfortunately, have made the difficult decision to officially separate & divorce. Our intention is to remain the best of friends & strong co-parents. We feel incredibly blessed to have found each other and deeply grateful for the 4 years we have been married to each other. Our journey together has been a ride of both ups & downs, but it’s a journey that neither of us would have chosen to take with anyone else.”
Back in January, Tyrese left a comment under Tammy and Kirk Franklin’s anniversary post and said, “Dear Samantha, this was supposed to be us…. remember the franklins was our marriage GOALS!!!!!!!!!!!! Smiling smiling…….I’m gonna get her back watch me! [ I think ].”
