Veneer implants have been a hot topic on social media in recent months. But instead of the oral procedure going viral for perfecting clients’ smiles, botched jobs have instead been turning heads for leaving patients with pain, infections, and permanent damage.
In addition, scammers posing as certified veneer technicians have been making headlines and landing themselves in hot charges for playing in patients’ mouths.
Now, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is going undercover with a licensed dentist and giving the public a look behind the undercovers lacing patients with botched smiles. Keep scrolling to watch this special edition of ‘TSR Investigates.’

Justin Carter Goes Undercover At A Fake Veneer School
Justin Carter was joined by licensed dentist Dr. Errol Morgan, who went undercover for a two-day, $4,500 veneers certification course reportedly advertised as “My New Smile ATL” by a woman named Jay Zachary. Once Morgan’s $1,000 deposit and final payment were received by Zachary, he went in for his two-day, four-hour course.
Scroll above to watch the footage Morgan documented from his undercover lesson, and see what happened once Zachary was confronted by Carter and cameras. However, the surprises don’t end there. Additionally, Carter speaks with Deputy District Attorney Will Wooten of Fulton County, Georgia, about his investigation into Brandon Dillard, a self-proclaimed veneer specialist who was subsequently charged with eight felonies for practicing dentistry without a license. Lastly, the host sits down with Dr. Heavenly Kimes for her perspective on the matter and those who took the chance at perfecting their smile with a “veneer tech.”
Those interested in reporting an illegal veneer practice can reach out to their local district attorney’s office or their state board of dentistry. For reports in Atlanta, Georgia, please reach out to fcda.fraudtips@fultoncountyga.gov.
