A few days ago we reported on Bobby Schmurda’s recent court appearance where it was reported that he turned down a plea agreement.
We also reported that after being offered the plea deal, prosecutors announced that Bobby Schurmda was also arrested while on Rikers for trying to smuggle a weapon into the facility.
According to the NY Daily News, Schmurda, who is already incarcerated for allegedly being the mastermind behind his crew’s gun and drug trafficking ring, was apprehended again after he had his girlfriend try to deliver him a shank during a visit on June 21.
Authorities say a guard spotted 18-year-old, Kimberly Rousseau “pull a black latex glove balloon wrapped in black electrical tape” from her bra and tried to slip it to him. When the guard confiscated the balloon, he found a “sharpened metal object” concealed inside of it.
Both Bobby, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, and his girlfriend have now been charged with promoting prison contraband. Schmurda was also nominated for Best New Artist at this year’s BET Awards but was defeated by Sam Smith.
