(Update) Young Thug Denied Bond In New Felony Case

Rapper Young Thug (real name Jeffrey Williams) is facing seven new felony charges in a separate case, outside of the Young Slime Life RICO indictment police arrested and charged him for earlier this week, and he was denied bond on Wednesday.

As previously reported, the charges come just after officers searched his Buckhead home following his RICO arrest and discovered drugs and guns.

According to reports, authorities confiscated1,299 grams of marijuana, 31 bottles of promethazine codeine syrup, a Glock 30S .45 caliber firearm, a Glock 357 firearm, a FN Five Seven firearm, a Glock 19 9mm firearm, a Smith & Wesson M&P firearm, and a fully automatic Glock 45 9mm handgun with an extended magazine and a converter switch from his North Atlanta home with his 14-year-old son present.

He now faces the following charges:

  1. Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  2. Violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act – possession of a Schedule III, IV or V Controlled Substance with intent to distribute
  3. Possession of firearm during commission of a felony
  4. Possession of sawed-off shotgun, sawed-off rifle, machine gun, dangerous weapon, or silencer
  5. Unlawful for person employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in criminal activity
  6. Unlawful for person employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in criminal activity
  7. Unlawful for person employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in criminal activity

During court proceedings, the judge deemed him as “a flight risk,” and it’s also reported that Young Thug was said to be at “risk to commit more felonies if released.”

His attorney, Brian Steel, asked the judge to reconsider the bond judgement and insists his client hasn’t committed a crime.

It’s unclear if this new case and his current RICO case will be combined. According to experts, if the two cases are legally connected, the RICO case will have to be indicted again.

In total, Thug is facing two charges in the RICO case and seven charges in the new felony case. As of now, he’s currently awaiting a bond hearing for the RICO case.

His rap associate, Gunna (real name Sergio Kitchens), was also denied bond. They both remain at the Fulton County Jail.
