#Roommates, with the 2020 election less than two months away, it appears that the Trump campaign is using every tactic possible to discredit his political opponent Joe Biden. Trump was recently called out for using filters on Joe Biden to make him appear older in a series of Facebook ads promoting his 2020 reelection.
@Newsweek reports, Trump’s increasing rivalry with Joe Biden has taken an unexpected and petty turn. It has recently been discovered that Trump’s election campaign is circulating an altered image of Joe Biden that ages him significantly. An active ad on Facebook that dropped earlier this week, used a photo of Biden with extremely dark circles underneath his eyes, increased age spots and more wrinkles and creases in his face.
The ad not only attacks Joe Biden’s appearance, it’s also focused on data-collection, urging Facebook users to fill out a poll claiming the “fake news media will never report accurately on his [Trump’s] standings in the polls against Sleepy Joe,” using a frequent nickname he has adopted for Biden. When confronted about using filters on the ad, the Trump campaign admitted that it had applied a filter to the picture of Biden but declined to say why.
Ironically, although Trump continues to be focused on Joe Biden’s age, the two political opponents are only three years apart, Trump is 74 and Biden is 77.
Trump doubled down even more on Biden’s appearance during a recent campaign event in Pennsylvania and attacked him for wearing a mask. “Have you ever seen a man who likes a mask as much as him?” he said. “It gives him a feeling of security. If I were a psychiatrist, I’d say this guy has got some big issues.”
