Grammy Award-winning superstar Usher is giving fans a glimpse inside his car rides with family! The icon recently hopped in the drivers seat with his teenage sons for a conversation that left fans cracking up. And, had fans wondering what it would take to score a spot on the singer’s VIP Instagram Close Friends list.
In the new Instagram series called ‘Carversations,’ Usher was joined by his sons Cinco, 18, and Naviyd, 17, to discuss growing up in todays digital world. The first episode, shared to Instagrams official YouTube page on Thursday, shows Usher and his sons driving down a tree-lined street and discussing social media. From sharing who they’d want to DM, to his sons seemingly avoiding the Close Friends topic, fans were definitely losing it. At one point, Usher asks Naviyd why the star hasn’t been added to his son’s Close Friends. However, the teen mocked his dad in classic teen style: “Im not one of your little friends,” he said, fingers in air quotes.
The conversation gets even funnier when Usher asks Cinco about his Close Friends list. The teen reveals he doesnt even have one, leading to a back-and-forth about people wildin in their Close Friends. Usher joked that he doesnt be wildin in my Close Friends, leaving his sons stunned. Best believe, they immediately asked if he even has a Close Friends list. Usher laughs it off but eventually tries to broker a deal: each of them needs to be on the others Close Friends list moving forward. Lets just say it was a humbling reminder that even a global superstar gets checked at homehit records, designer fits, and all.
Fans flooded The Shade Room comment section after watching Ushers carversation with his sons. Many pointed out that the superstar and his teens are basically the same person in different fonts. Others found it humbling to see that even Usher isnt cool at home. While some commenters were slightly desperate to know how to make it onto Ushers Close Friends list.
