Doja Cat doesn’t hold back on the bold looks. But on Thursday night, she gave the online world a conversation starter with her choice. While openly rocking her buzz cut, she shaved her eyebrows off on Instagram Live and got into the deets of why she decided to go hairless.
It turns out the artist is not the biggest fan of hair. She said, “I just do not like to have hair,” before going into her experience with mixing the gym and a fresh wig. Doja said she spent her workouts concerned about her appearance because her wigs would get tacky from the moisture, slide, and peel.
“There were times where I’d put a beanie on top of my wig, that’s on top of a wig cap, that’s on top of braids. And I just can’t believe that it took me this long to be like ‘shave your f***king head,” Doja shared.
She also added that although we’ve seen her hair out, dealing with it is another story.
“There was a moment where I was natural and I don’t even wear it natural because I don’t feel like it,” Doja said. “It’s just a f***ing nightmare dude. I’m over it. I’m really liking this.”

And one thing about the Kiss Me More rapper, she’s completely fine with her beauty decisions. She even lightly teased folks questioning her mental health.
“I’m fine Terry Jo, I’m just fine,” I’m doing dandy,” Doja said.
“I’ve never felt so f***king happy, like…it’s very funny how much of an effect taking my hair off my head has positively influenced me,” Doja said.
