Vivica A. Fox Makes History With Her Latest Role… First Black Women To Play President

Vivica A. Fox just scored the role of a lifetime, and made history along the way. Vivica will be the first African American actress to play the president of the United States in the new sci-fi movie Crossbreed.

According to Mashable, Fox has signed on and production is set to begin in October. The movie is about a group of retired war heroes who the president calls on for help to save an alien from illegal medical facility that’s been using the Alien’s DNA to make weapons. in

“When my producers brought up the idea of Vivica in the role, it was a lightning bolt. It was a fantastic idea. Someone who could light up a room but also has a commanding presence. Our president is positive and proactive, not the grim figure as is usually portrayed in these types of movies,” Director Brandon Slagle said to the Hollywood Reporter.
