Roommates, get in here! So, first things first, the video for B*tch Better Have My Money is everything! Rihanna actually created the treatment for the video and co-directed it, but where did she even come up with the idea? Well, Complex.com is questioning whether it was a murder fantasy being played out for the Rih Navy.
The tea is that back in 2012, “Rih launched a lawsuit against her actual accountant at the time, Peter Gournis of Berdon LLP. The suit claimed that Gournis was to blame for RiRi’s fiscally disastrous 2009, which saw her go from $11 million at the top of the year to a measly $2 million by its end.” As you can see in the video, her accountant, played by none other than Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, James Bond: Casino Royale), is seen blowing her money on partying, girls and other frivolous things, meanwhile she’s wondering where her money is at!
Complex also found out that “Gournis and Berdon, who’d been managing Rih’s finances since her young start, also netted 22 percent of the revenue from her Last Girl on Earthtour from commission charges, without alerting her to the fact that it was hemorrhaging money, while Rih only received 6 percent.” That tour brought in over $40 million! I know that if my accountant was blowing MY money, I’d have snatched up somebody’s wife or husband too!
