The internet was left with questions after Ashanti and Nelly teamed up for a spicy performance at a recent concert. Since then, fans have wondered whether the singer would be open to giving her former rapper boo a second shot at love.
And now, they may have gotten some insight into the 42-year-old’s thoughts.
Ashanti recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. And two fans from Long Island were quick to dig into the steamy performance.
Ashanti, what was your reaction to everyone freaking out over you grinding on Nelly during your performance of “Body On Me” last weekend? And Sam wanted you to follow in JLo and Ben’s footsteps.
Host Andy Cohen, Ashanti, and fellow guest Morris Chestnut were stunned by the question.
“Oh my God, wow!” exclaimed Ashanti, as she laughed.
Cohen chimed in.
People online have been wanting you and Nelly to get back together it’s all I’m saying.
Ashanti replied by saying she “saw a lot of comments.”
I mean, my reaction was ‘Wow.’ You know, it was a lot of comments and a lot of people wanting that. Um, what I will say is [that] we’re in a better place cause before it was like but you know, we’re cool now… We had some conversations, you know. So it’s cool.
“But you’re not getting back together?” Cohen further questioned.
“I mean, I don’t…” Ashanti replied, laughing.
Fans have already begun taking to social media, sharing their reactions to Ashanti’s commentary and the chance at a possible reunion for the ex-couple.
