Floyd Mayweather confronted Jake Paul outside of a Miami Heat game on Wednesday night, surrounding him with his entourage before the YouTuber-turned-boxer ran off and fled the scene.
Paul appeared to have only one security guard with him at the moment of the confrontation and went back and forth with the boxing legend – who himself boxed Paul’s brother Logan in an exhibition match in 2021.

Moments later, Paul took off running as the cameraman can be heard egging him on.
“Look, he’s running! Jake Paul running champ! Why is he running?” someone is heard saying in the video.
The 26-year-old, who just recently lost in professional boxing for the first time against Tommy Fury last month, later took to Instagram in an effort to clear the air.

“So I’m leaving the Miami Heat game and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere, out of like some side alley, waiting for me outside the stadium, and they’re like, ‘So what’s up? What’s all that talk now?’” Paul said.
Paul Defends Decision To Run Away, Says He Wasn’t Trying To Get Jumped By “50 Dudes”
Paul characterized the altercation as a potential jumping, and defended his decision to run away.
“I’m like, first of all, what did I say to you, Floyd? I just took your hat and you’re still mad about it? Come on, bro. And then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to jump me, and I’m out that b****, ok?”
The hat Paul was referring to harkens back to a media event for Mayweather’s bout against his bother, where Jake was filmed snatching the cap of an angry Floyd Mayweather, leading to members of Mayweather’s crew attacking Paul.

However, TMZ reports that Wednesday’s confrontation was unrelated to the hat incident, and instead stem from comments Paul made to Mayweather.
“Jake crossed the line. This wasn’t about grabbing a hat. This was about Jake’s comments to Floyd about Floyd’s deceased family member and other below-the-belt inappropriate behavior,” a source told TMZ.
Paul Challenges Floyd To Boxing Bout, Mayweather’s Entourage Responds To Jake Online
Paul went on to challenge Mayweather to a boxing bout and said he doesn’t “need to prove my toughness” by trying to fight 50 guys.
“You wanna run it one on one, no problem. But I’m not dumb. Okay? I’m tough, I don’t need to prove my toughness., but I’m not f–king dumb. I’m not gonna sit there and try to fight 50 dudes.”
Mayweather’s entourage wasn’t buying Jake’s interpretation of the situation, with the same source telling TMZ that “Jake went to his IG and started name calling once again when he can hide behind a camera.”
