Rasheeda and Kirk Frost are still going strong! This couple recently celebrated 23 years of marriage, per an Instagram post she dedicated to her husband.
The artist and entrepreneur shared a video montage featuring clips of her and Kirk enjoying their lives. Her short clip showed them in different scenes, from baecations and being on set to sharing smooches, public appearances, and throwing that Georgia peach in a circle on Kirk.
In the caption, she penned Kirk a sweet note–highlighting how they’ve made it through their ups and downs.
“I really don’t have the words to fully express our union! Love is so many things & has so many sides. You are truly my soulmate & our journey through this life is exceptionally unexplainable,” Rasheeda wrote. “I love you so much @frost117 through everything [up arrow and down arrow emojis] highs & lows, we pushed TF through, and today we celebrate 23 years of marriage #happyanniversary I love you till the end.”
Meanwhile, Kirk made no page posts about their anniversary. However, he did re-post a few congratulations from people in his life on his Insta-Story, including someone who reshared Rasheeda’s post. But Frost is a man of few words when it comes to their relationship and his public praise of his wife of 23 years.
For her birthday in May, he posted a video of pictures from what appeared to be a celebration. There were about one or two photos of him and Rasheeda together, and the rest featured Rasheeda or him with party guests.
His caption said, “it’s officially your birthday @rasheeda, Happy birthday babe wishing you many blessings,” along with a few celebration emojis and hashtags.
Rasheeda & Kirk Agree That Publicizing Their Marital Issues Helped Other Couples
Days before celebrating Rasheeda’s birthday on May 25, the couple appeared on The Breakfast Club. They spoke on a variety of topics, including entrepreneurship and “living their relationship in the spotlight.”
Rasheeda highlighted that a lot of people haven’t even been in a 20+ year relationship. At the time, they both agreed that they’d be celebrating their 22nd marriage anniversary in November. But that number is inconsistent with Rasheeda’s anniversary post–just like it’s inconsistent with the marriage year of 1999–as listed online.
Nonetheless, Rasheeda and Kirk alluded on Breakfast Club that airing their marital issues was a blessing to others.
“They don’t understand the levels of the relationship, but, you know, it’s difficult just living your life out, everybody seeing it. People talk about things still like it just happened yesterday…that’s six years,” Rasheeda said.
“Those days, they’ll never go away, but I will say this, and I hate to just be honest about it,” Kirk said. “Me…putting my relationship on Broadway, it changed the whole aspect of just relationships, period. I had a lot of guys come up to me and be like: yo, you helped me save my marriage; I went back home, we got back together.”
As you may already know, the couple has starred in several shows, most notably Love & Hip-Hop ATL. The show displayed some of the “ups and downs” Rasheeda mentioned in her anniversary post–including Kirk doing a DNA swab of their youngest son Karter and his cheating scandal with Jasmine Washington, leading to the birth of another son, Kannon.
Rasheed and Kirk share two children together–Karter, born in 2013, and Ky, born in 2000. Congratulations to the thriving couple on 23 years!
