Roommates, it’s not every day that you will catch us getting in our feelings over some of our posts, but this one is an exception! A gentleman named #LamarrMainor from Cleveland, OH was reunited with his father after 37 years.
During a 15-year stint in jail, Lamar began working with children and loved it! He now owns a non-profit for at-risk youth called Brave C.A.T.S., which stands for “children and their struggles,” however, he almost lost his business earlier this year.
Mainor says that last December, a close friend passed away and that was the first of many unfortunate events that trickled into 2017. His health began to decline to the point he had to leave his job! That caused him to almost lose Brave C.A.T.S., but he is currently in the process of building it back up.
In order to take some of the load off of a stressful year, Lamarr’s ex wife and current girlfriend got together to surprise him by reuniting Lamarr with his father. He hasn’t seen him in 37 years and they had a super tearful reunion which Lamarr later shared to his Facebook page.
“Got my Daddy back,” Lamarr writes. “Not only that, but I always wanted to reach the world and make an impact in someone’s life, some way. He continued to explain that him being “reunited with my dad has helped spread love! That’s an impactful enough message for me.”
