TSR: What was your inspiration behind a make-up collaboration ?
Kae: I wanted to create a line that everyone could relate to. I chose colors that are true to me and what I wear normally everyday – matte, neutral tones which is perfect because they blend well with every skin tone.
Each of these buildable products includes the ingredients as well as application tips and reviews, but that’s not even the best part– Karrueche’s price point is. Everything on the line is $8 and under (except the sampler eyeshadows)!! Yasssss!
TSR: What in particular made you choose an affordable product unlike other companies that may charge $20 for a lipstick?
Kae: I wanted everyone to be able to be afford the product. It’s pointless to create a product that only certain people can be apart of. The price point is one of the best things about the products and the first thing most people mention and obviously the quality.
What we also love about KaePop is that Karrueche took the time to personalize the descriptions under each and every product. You can really tell that she took the time to present a quality makeup line to the public. I mean, look at how beautiful these colors are!
TSR: How did it feel after the release of Kaepop and the response that it received?
Kae: It was an amazing feeling! I wasn’t expecting such a big response. There has been so much great feedback which makes me so happy. Everyone has been loving the products from an overall standpoint – the price point to the colors to the texture. I can’t wait to start on more products!
