We all know that Wendy Williams has been out here having a hot girl summer after she filed for divorce from her estranged husband Kevin Hunter earlier this year.
On Thursday, she made a visit to “The View,” to talk with the ladies and during their discussion, she touched on her divorce and said that Kevin’s infidelities were one thing, but once he created another child with his mistress, their whole 25-year relationship went out the window.
Among other things, she talked about her past substance abuse and her reason for checking into a sober house earlier this year. Needless to say, Wendy definitely seems to be in great spirits as she prepares for the new season of her talk show to begin.
During her interview, Sunny Hostin talked about how Wendy mentioned in a previous interview she would never speak badly about Kevin publicly. Wendy said to the ladies, “Well it’s not just about young Kevin. You know big Kev he’s not a bad man, but you just can’t throw away 25 years, and start talking recklessly about the other person. Otherwise, what does that say about you? I chose him, and he chose me. So that’s the way it is.”
As we’ve mentioned before, it had been rumored for some time that Kevin was seeing another woman outside of his marriage for some time. However, once news got out about him having another child, Wendy officially cut ties both personally and professionally.
Back in June, things became a little rocky after it was reported that Kevin Hunter and his son Kevin Jr. got into a physical altercation, which led to an assault case. However, the case was eventually dismissed.
