TSR Tunez: I love a good countdown in a song but if you think counting is a basic technique in songwriting, hear me out.

You can’t underestimate the power of a good countdown (or counting up for that matter) because it definitely can add to a song’s infectious nature. Counting in a song will almost guarantee a hit because it’s catchy and it usually leads up to something good.

A countdown can indicate a number of things. It could mean the artist is about to set it off or give directions/steps that you will for surely repeat. It can also indicate it’s about to go down in the song.

If you don’t believe us, check out some of our favorite “countdown” songs to make you a believer. SWIPE and let us know which one is your fave!
