Roommates, remember back in July when Mark and Patricia McCloskey went viral after they were seen pointing their guns at a group of protesters that were passing their home, as they made their way to Mayor Lyda Krewson’s home? Well, now those same thugs have been indicted on firearm charges.

According to NBC News, the couple is now facing two counts each for exhibiting a weapon and tampering with evidence. Their lawyer called the charges “baseless,” and said they will deal with it accordingly.

At the moment it is not clear what kind of evidence prosecutors presented to the grand jury to land the tampering with evidence charge. Nonetheless, if you remember, back in July they were also charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon.

At the time, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner said that it was illegal for the couple to “wave weapons in a threatening manner at those participating in a nonviolent protest.”

She continued to state, “While we are fortunate this situation did not escalate into deadly force, this type of conduct is unacceptable in St. Louis.”

The couple claims they feared for their lives as the crowd of peaceful protesters marched passed their home. As we previously mentioned the protesters were making their way to Mayor Lyda Krewson’s home as they shouted “Resign Lyda, take the cops with you,” after a Facebook live briefing in which Krewson read the names and addresses of the residents that wrote letters to her suggesting she defund the police department.

The McCloskey’s were later featured during this year’s Republican National Convention.
