On Wednesday, a group of Black men were in a gym, located within a shared building, owned by We Work, that they are currently leasing for their business. Upon trying to work out, Tom repeatedly asks several questions about why are they there. He then pretends to call the police but actually calls the leasing staff instead.

According to the @StarTribune, the CEO of the Ackerberg Group, Stuart Ackerberg, who owns the building stated, “I shared with him that I did not think it was handled well and there are other ways to go about this,” he said. “It’s unfortunate. Our goal is to create a safe and inviting experience for everybody.”

In an email, Austin later admitted, after losing his least, that he didn’t handle the situation properly and should’ve minded his business. “Should have handled it differently,” he said in an e-mail. “Not my job to have done anything.”

This comes a day after the fatal arrest of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and a day after Amy Cooper called the police on a Black man and falsely accused him of threatening her.

The four officers involved lost their jobs, and Amy Cooper lost her job also, in addition to her dog.
