White Man Who Got Dragged For Video Of Calling The Cops On Black Women At A Swimming Pool Blames His Autism

A white man recently faced backlash for calling the cops on two black women who were relaxing poolside with a glass of wine at their apartment complex. He was seen on video following the women and is now blaming his autism for his controversial actions.

Nick Starr-Street hopped on social media to tell his side of the now viral video and maintain that he’s not a racist. “I’m autistic and lack a gauge that goes anywhere but 0 and 100,” Starr-Street wrote on Facebook. “When I see a lease violation, I call it out and do everything in my power to make sure it is resolved, no matter who is the person violating.”

Starr-Street reportedly called police on two separate groups of black women at The Edition Apartments in Hyattsville, Maryland, for having glassware by the pool — a lease violation, according to Street-Starr, @yahoolifestyle reports. One incident happened on June 22nd and the other on June 23rd.

The women who say he harassed them obviously feel his actions are racially motivated. “This white man literally stalked us from his apartment for damn near a mile just cause we were at the pool drinking wine and taking pictures. Called the police and all…I cannot make this up smh,” said Gaelle Claude under a video she posted to Twitter.

In the first incident tweeted about on June 22, Felecia Soso claims her friends were hanging out at the pool when Starr-Street made a complaint about their glassware and music. He allegedly yelled at her friend and later recorded her friend on camera admitting that she had glassware.

Although a video shows that her friend agreed to get rid of the glassware, adding, “What else do I need to do for you to be comfortable?” Starr-Street immediately stopped the recording to show the video to the leasing office of the apartment complex.

When the leasing office took no action, Starr-Street then

reported the women to the Hyattsville Police Department. They reportedly sent two officers to the scene and later left after speaking with Soso and her friends.

“I see this stuff online but having this happen in person like BLATANT racism for NO reason at ALLLLLLLLL,” Soso wrote on Twitter. “I’ve honestly seen SO MANY TYPES of racism…but we weren’t doing ANYTHING BUT EXISTING.”

It was Claude’s incident that went viral because of Starr-Street’s alleged harassment of the women. However, he says he was following the pair after they allegedly attacked him and once again used his autism as an explanation.

The women also had receipts of what happened at the pool and said they did not attack him.
