Arguments on ABC’s “The View” are nothing new but people are definitely talking about today’s debacle and how aunty Whoopi Goldberg shut thangs down when Meghan McCain got a little too comfortable.
It often seems during these arguments that Meghan McCain is on the opposing end from the rest of her cast and today was no exception.
The ladies were discussing a military officer who was asked to testify about Donald Trump’s Ukraine call. The conversation quickly went left when Meghan and fellow host Joy Behar got into it.
In an attempt to assuage the situation, Whoopi Goldberg stepped in, but that only caused Meghan to act up even more.
“Everybody take a breath,” Whoopi says as Meghan continues to try and talk over her. “Hold on, let me just finish. What I’m saying… everybody has something to say at the table. We really do want to hear from everybody.”
“But we’re starting to do that thing,” Whoopi explains as she simulate a grapple with her hands before Megan cut in again, saying, “I don’t know what that means, this thing?”
“It means you are talking over each other,” Whoopi responds, to which Meghan sarcastically clapped back with, “Well, it’s The View.”
It looked like aunty Whoopi was not feeling the attitude and that’s when she had to get really real with Ms. McCain.

Whoopi pretty much kept her cool, explaining to Meghan that she’s just trying to make sure everyone’s voice gets heard.
“It is The View, let me tell you something about The View. This show has always had the ability to have different points of view, which we respect around the table. When we talk to each other, we also exhibit respect. So, when I’m saying to you, ‘Hold up, because we’re not hearing each other,’ I’m not trying to cut you off, I’m trying to get you heard.”
But it seems Meghan didn’t get the message because she then replied, “I don’t think you’re trying to cut me off but…”
At that point, aunty Whoopi was over it and ultimately decided to cut to commercial break.
“But that’s what you’re doing right now, we’ll be back!”
Now that’s a nice nasty way of saying “and that’s that on that.” We feel you Whoopi, we feel you.
