Wiz Khalifa’s mother is suing Amber Rose! According to Washington County Observer-Reporter, Katie Wimbush-Polk filed a defamation suit against her former daughter-in-law last month in a Washington County Court. She claims Rose allegedly made a “profanity-laced phone call to a third party,” accusing her of being a negligent parent.
The lawsuit alleges Rose made a call on June 19th to a phone linked to Wiz’s mom’s account and immediately “launched into a profane attack.” According to the suit, the niece of Wiz’s mother’s former employee answered the phone, and even after knowing she was speaking with a third party, Rose reportedly said Wiz’s mom allowed her own child, Dorien, to die. She also allegedly claimed that Katie was unfit to visit or care for her and Wiz’s 4-year-old son Sebastian.
Khalifa’s sibling, Dorien Thomaz, passed away on February 20th of complications from lymphoma.
The mother of the rapper’s attorney claims the statements “imputed criminality,” which is “incompatible with her status as a grandmother and her status as a volunteer mentoring at-risk youth.”
“In the suit, filed July 3, Wimbush-Polk claimed Levonchuck’s statements were malicious, ‘tended to harm’ her reputation, lowered her in the estimation of the community or deterred others from associating or dealing with her, and disputes the claim she had let Dorien Thomaz die caused her to be humiliated and suffer severe mental anguish,” the Washington County Observer-Reporter reports.
Wiz’s mom is asking for more than $50,000 in damages, including court fees, interest and punitive damages. Rose has yet to respond to the suit.
