Roommates, we have to give a round of applause to Candace Parker for making history as the first female basketball player to appear on the cover of the popular video game NBA 2K.

According to ESPN, she will be on the cover of NBA 2K22 in celebration of the WNBA’s 25th anniversary. The game is scheduled to drop on September 10th.

The Chicago Sky forward spoke about the historical moment and said, “I grew up a video game fanatic, that’s what I did, to the point where my brothers would give me the fake controller when I was younger where I think I was playing and I wasn’t.
