Woman Allegedly Stole Unconscious Hospital Patient’s Credit Card & Ran Up $4,000 In Purchases

Roommates, I know it’s hard out here in these streets but some things you should know are just a NO NO! A woman is facing charges for allegedly stealing a hospital patient’s credit card and going on a little shopping spree while he laid up in ICU!

According to CBS Pittsburgh, Charlotte Jackson, 54, straight up stole Harry Meadows’ card while he was unconscious in the Intensive Care Unit at Excela Westmoreland Hospital.

“He was unconscious,” said Capt. Robert Stafford, of Greensburg Police. “He wasn’t even able to communicate with anybody.”

Authorities say Charolette tricked a nurse into gaining access to the man.

“She relayed to the nurse that she was the daughter of the victim,” Capt. Stafford said.

Once sis made it out of the hospital, she ran that card up to $4,000 in purchases at about 50 locations.

“She had gone to Walmart, she used the Lyft service numerous times, an eye doctor one time,” Stafford said.

Jackson was hit with a rack of charges including burglary, criminal trespass, theft and criminal use of a communication facility.

Sis is currently sitting in the Westmoreland County Jail on $15,000 bond.
