Well this is something you don’t hear about everyday! A French woman and her uncle were allegedly enjoying a nice brunch at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, when she noticed that her sandwich had the remains of a dead baby rat, according to Complex.
Now you already know 16-year-old Eloise Faux wanted an explanation for this mess at once. She was at the restaurant with her uncle, Laurent Faux and friend Elodie, when she discovered the rat. According to the New York Post, the NYPD and ambulance were called immediately! The manager claimed that it was nothing more than a cranberry, but something just didn’t add up!
The family was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where, according to a discharge form shared by Laurent, a doctor wrote, “The remnant you brought looked like the top half of a baby rodent.”
The New York Post also mentioned that security footage from the restaurant vividly showed Laurent allegedly noticing the rat, and handing over the plate to Eloise, who quickly put it under the table… which is the weird part!
A spokesperson for the Palm Court told the New York Post that, “This situation has been throughly investigated, and it is unequivocally a meritless claim.”
I don’t know about y’all but I won’t be eating sandwiches for a while now.
