Xania came through with her own track, throwing some digital shots at both Kehlani and Jermaine after they called her out for taking opportunities from people with real talent. Y’all might remember Xania started going viral in November after her creator and writer, 31-year-old Telisha Jones, spoke out about being a digital artist in an exclusive interview with Gayle King.

Xania Monet Claps Back At Kehlani & Jermaine Dupri In Video For New Track
Roomies, who would’ve thought we would see an A.I. beef? Well, it looks like one might be heating up as Xania Monet has clapped at Kehlani and Jermaine Dupri in a new track. She even dropped visuals for the record, showing clips of Kehlani talking about her and social media posts from Jermaine. On the song, she calls out Lani, accusing the ‘Folded’ singer of throwing shade and hating on her during interviews.
“Funny how you went to the media first, taking about my pen like you know my worth.” She continued, “You say I ain’t real, you say I don’t create. But your voice shake a little every time you hate.”
She didn’t hold back on Jermaine either, telling him she’s never mentioned him while he’s busy trying to dim her light, even though he’s supposedly not self-made either. “I ain’t mention you, never threw shade! But you stay in my light, like you self-made. You could’ve reached out, you could’ve shown love, but you chose ego instead of me up and it’s sad cause, this industry cold.”
JD & Kehlani React To Xania’s Digital Shade
JD and Lani definitely peeped Xania’s track and music video. After The Shade Room posted clips from her music video, both of them hopped in the comment section and shared their reactions. Lani seemed unbothered writing, “LMAOO man get the hell on 😂😂😂😂” As for Jermaine, it looks like he didn’t take the digital disses seriously either. He dropped a bunch of laughing emojis, “🤣🤣🤣🤣”
Here’s What Kehlani Previously Said About Xania
Right when Telisha Jones, aka Xania Monet, was blowing up, Kehlani shared her frustrations about A.I. and folks using it to make music. In a social media post, she said she felt bad for people trying to build a career in music while computers are taking over the space.
“Just because you can, don’t mean you should. Art is not a money grab. Music means something significant to culture, to humanity, to people. Me personally I’m going to value it that way for the rest of my life,” Kehlani wrote.
Telisha Jones Explains Why She Decided To Use A.I. To Create Music
Once Xania’s songs started going vital, Telisha Jones, the creator, sat down with Gayle King and explained why she chose to use A.I. for music. She admitted she can’t sing but said she sees artificial intelligence as a tool and she’s using it to its full potential.
“I wouldn’t call it a shortcut, because I still put in the work. Anytime something new comes about and it challenges the norm and what we’re use to […] you’re going to get strong reactions behind it. And I just fee like A.I. is the new era that we’re in. And I look at it as a tool, as a instrument.. utilize it!” Telisha explained.
