The rap industry is mourning the loss of #XXXTentacion who was tragically gunned down in Florida yesterday. As you can imagine, X’s fans have began immortalizing him through his music and have driven up his streaming numbers.
According to @TMZ_Tv, XXXTentacion’s “?” album spiked 41,306% and his “17” album jumped almost 9,000%. In addition, X “holds the no. 2 and 3 spots with the LP of “?” jumping a staggering 542,566% and the CD “?” seeing a 54,057% spike in sales. X also has the no. 1 and no. 2 albums on Amazon’s Movers and Shakers Digital Music list. His song “SAD!” is currently no. 1 on iTunes.
Spotify has even placed an XXXTentacion playlist back on their platform. If you recall, they decided to remove his music last month.
