Everyone is currently turning up this weekend in Los Angeles for BET Weekend. Early Sunday morning YG had a little encounter with the police during a traffic stop that reportedly turned intense.
According to TMZ, he was heading to an appearance at the 1 Oak when police claim they saw him speeding and switching lanes on the Sunset Strip. L.A. County Sherriff’s reportedly claim that YG became “upset and uncooperative,” and that he was “riling up the crowd,” so they handcuffed him.
After they determined that he was NOT under the influence, he was cited for reckless driving and let go.
Nonetheless, YG has been riding high off the success of his latest album “4Real 4Real.” His latest single “Go Loko” is currently in the Top 20 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/ Hip-Hop chart.
The project landed the No. 7 spot on Billboard 200 and the No. 5 spot on Billboard’s Top R&B/ Hip-Hop Albums.
Prior to the release of the album, YG talked about how a percentage from each song on the album would go to Nipsey Hussle’s children.
