DDG Works Nipsey’s Restaurant As Young Thug Visits
DDG was at the tribute restaurant volunteering his time! The spot has attracted a string of famous faces and rappers, all eager to champion the family’s business. The streamer’s support came as he spent hours assisting the staff by cleaning up and preparing food in the kitchen with another employee’s help.
When one of the workers advised the Michigan native to replace his gloves, he turned to fetch a fresh pair from another counter. It was at this moment that Thugger made his low-key arrival. DDG instantly signaled his cameraman to get the shot. A man who appeared to be Thugger’s security guard trailed behind. Ultimately, the guard did not seem to appreciate Thugger being filmed and asked the cameraman to stop recording before placing his hand in front of the lens. “We got customers from all around the world coming to the Marathon Burger,” DDG told his viewers.

DDG Clears The Air About Not Dapping Thugger
It wasn’t long before DDG caught wind of the reactions on social media. Many were left wondering why the father of one didn’t respond to Thugger when it appeared as if he had tried to dap him.
“No he wasn’t, I said wassup to him when I first walked in, and y’all didn’t see. So y’all didn’t see it,” DDG said about the rumor being spread on X. He reiterated that the dap was, in fact, for Nipsey’s brother and not him.
Thugger Caught A Break In Court This Week
The tweet in question was of a photo of DA Marissa Viverito, who’d been giving testimony in a gang-related preliminary hearing. Although the public didn’t know anything about her beyond her name, a blogger leaked her photo, causing Viverito to go viral. Thug reposted it by tweeting it among his 6.6 million followers, which prosecutors argued was a complete no-go. “Biggest liar in the DA office,” he captioned the photo before deleting it shortly after.
Judge Issues A Response To Probation Motion
Court documents emerged after attorneys submitted a motion to revoke Thug’s probation. His legal team came to his defense. Brian Steel stated that sharing a photo of someone on social media constituted no actual crime, especially a photo that countless others had already widely reposted. Amid seemingly deleting the tweet, Thug came back and offered some words in an attempt to clarify any misunderstandings about his post.
“I’m a good person,” he wrote. “I would never condone anyone threatening anyone or definitely participate in threatening anyone. I’m all about peace and love.”
On April 2, Whitaker rejected the request to revoke Thugger’s probation and acknowledged that Thugger committed no wrongdoings. However, she suggested that he “exercise restraint regarding certain topics” during the next 14 years of his probation.
As previously reported, Thugger pled guilty to gang, drug, and gun charges in his RICO case and received a 40-year sentence, according to USA TODAY, marking the longest-running criminal trial in Georgia.
Whitaker commuted the first five years to time served, reflecting the 900 days he had already spent behind bars following his arrest in May 2022. Additionally, the court sentenced Thug to 15 years of probation and imposed a 20-year “backloaded” prison sentence. That’s set to take effect if he violates the terms of his probation. The court also directed the rapper to avoid metro Atlanta for 10 years, except for community service and family events. He’s also required to deliver anti-gun violence presentations four times a year.
