Young Thug Proposes To Mariah The Scientist: “Guess I’m Getting Married”
As mentioned, Thugger was performing at his Hometown Hero concert in Atlanta on Tuesday night. After his bae, Mariah the Scientist, took the stage, he gagged her and the audience by asking her to marry him. Young Thug displayed the question in giant pink letters on a screen as he dropped to one knee in front of her, pulling her body closer to his. He had her rock inside what looked like a satin blue box. A video shows him holding the box open, and them embracing. When he stood up, he asked her what her answer was, and she responded, “Put it on!”
Meanwhile, the crowd was going wild with shock and cheers, especially after Mariah’s response. She then faced the crowd and said into her mic, “Guess I’m getting married.” Watch the video below.

Soon after the proposal began flooding the internet, close-up photos and videos of Mariah’s engagement ring surfaced. In two photos shared by The Shade Room, her rock is exactly that—a huge oval-cut stone that’s baby pink in color and surrounded by smaller diamonds while sitting on three diamond bands. Singer Recently Revealed She Wants A Ring Before A Baby
Mariah and Young Thug’s engagement follows what seemed like a rough patch a few months ago. At the end of September , Thugger told Adin Ross during a livestream that the singer had broken up with him. The split came after several resurfaced audios of Young Thug on various jail calls surfaced online. In one call, Young Thug admitted to cheating on Mariah in 2022, before turning himself in on RICO charges in Atlanta. The pair had been dating since 2021, and she stuck by him while he sat behind bars before and during his trial.
Sometime after Young Thug revealed their split, the couple privately rekindled their relationship. By her 28th birthday at the end of October, the world learned they were back together with his birthday message. In his caption, he called her “baby mama.” While that turned a few heads, necks really snapped after Young Thug told TMZ in November that he “put a baby in” Mariah the Scientist. She never addressed his comments or the pregnancy speculations that followed. Then, this past weekend she told Angie Martinez that marriage has to come before motherhood. She expressed that she wants a commitment “that doesn’t involve an obligation to a baby.” Mariah said she wants the love to exist outside of “responsibility.”
